We are available for all outsourced software projects. This may involve development of new software, maintenance and enhancement of existing software and working with database systems. Our main areas of expertise are in C, C++ and C# for software development in Windows and Linux environments, and SQL Server, Oracle and MySql for database systems. Most of our current projects are developed using Asp.Net 2.0 C# using Microsoft Visual Studio.

For a lot of our clients, we provide a bootstrap development role prior to permanent staff being employed. This often involves working with new companies who need their ideas up and running fast. WEB CONSULTANCY

Overlapping with our software development services, VoxDev can provide full web site development and maintenance from first concept to hosting the final application. Again, most of our recent projects are developed using Asp.Net 2.0 C# using Microsoft Visual Studio, although we also have significant WordPress, PHP, Perl/CGI, ASP and HTML experience. We often work with 3rd party graphic designers to provide the best visual experience. Most websites do involve a back end database and we are most familiar with SQL Server, Oracle and MySql. VoxDev can also provide website Search Engine Optimisation. This involves a detailed report for a particular website and suggested improvements to increase the Google page rank and generate more visitors to your website. If you wish to then proceed further we are able to implement our suggestions and manage the optimisation process.

TELEPHONY CONSULTANCY

VoxDev can host off the shelf or custom built telephony services or build telephony systems for your own locations. Our IVR software of choice is Asterisk. Although Asterisk is open source (and free) it takes many years of experience to be able to fully utilise all of the available features and to deploy and safe and reliable platform capable of handling many calls. Asterisk is ideal for handling Voice over IP (VoIP) calls as it can happily handle and connect calls from a variety of sources (analogue, digital ISDN PRI/BRI, Sip, IAX for example). We also have many years of experience of using Envox IVR software, both in the design of applications using the Envox Studio and in the deployment of live services. We have integrated speech services into both Envox and Asterisk platforms.

SPEECH CONSULTANCY

With over 16 years of experience of building telephony based speech technology applications, VoxDev are an ideal partner who can provide an independent view of the speech technology field and help advise or implement the service you require. This includes both speech recognition and speech synthesis. We have extensive experience of application design, speech technology integration and grammar writing using a wide variety of speech technology components such as Nuance OSR, Lumenvox, RealSpeak, rVoice, SpeechPearl, HTK.

Our experience of the business startup process and in particular IP and patent issues, commercialisation of university-based projects, startup funding, business angels, venture capitalinvestments, particularly in the IT sector provides us with invaluable information, pros and cons, that we can share with you if you are starting out in business.
